U.S. government, seeking $867,732.56 in penalties from Sanhua International for grossly negligent violations of 19 USC 1592 for misrepresenting that its entries of front seating service valves from China were not subject to antidumping duties. #17-00222. Filed Aug. 17.
BASF Corporation, challenging CBP's assessment of interest on its entries of carbozole violet pigment 23. BASF says the interest is an unlawful charge or extraction because the underlying entries should have been deemed liquidated. #17-00223. Filed Aug. 18.
U.S. government, seeking $87,969.84 in penalties from James G. Bonis and JDB Holdings for grossly negligent violations of 19 USC 1592 for misclassifying its entries of riflescopes from China. #17-00224. Filed Aug. 18.
Regal Ideas, challenging Commerce's determination in an anti-circumvention inquiry that 5050-series extrusions are circumventing the AD/CV duty orders on aluminum extrusions from China. #17-00225. Filed Aug. 18.
MerchSource, on the classification of toy laptop computers. CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 8543.70.96 (2.6%). MerchSource says it should have instead been classified under subheading 9503.00.00 (free). #17-00226. Filed Aug. 18.
Regal Ideas, challenging Commerce's recent scope rulings finding 5050-series extrusions from Kota International and Trending Imports are subject to AD/CV duties. #17-00227, -00228. Filed Aug. 18.
