  • NAFTA Council meets in advance of renegotiations. Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland hosted a meeting Aug. 10 with the newly created NAFTA Council regarding the renegotiation of the North America Free Trade Agreement. The role of the council is to offer unfiltered advice in advance of and during the course of renegotiations of the trade agreement with Mexico and the United States.
  • Product Recalls: Thumpers Salon recalls Oribe and R+CO Brand hair products in pressurized containers manufactured in the United States, for labeling violations that could lead to serious injury; Home Hardware Stores Limited recalls Home brand butane portable gas ranges, 9000 and 9001 models, manufactured in South Korea and China, respectively, for explosion and fire hazards.
