  • New quotas for EU cheese. Minister of International Trade François-Philippe Champagne announced that Canadian companies that previously did not have permits to import cheese will now be able to apply for a share of the new Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) import quotas. These quotas will provide new opportunities for businesses in the cheese sector, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, which will be allocated 60 percent of the quotas.
  • Product Recalls: MixBin Electronics LLC recalls Liquid Glitter Phone Cases manufactured in China, for skin irritation and burn hazards; ADFAST recalls certain Canac brand polyurethane foam manufactured in Belgium, for toxicity hazard not indicated on labels; Incredible Novelties Inc. recalls various Floof products manufactured in South Korea, for boric acid toxicity levels.
