  • Canada to invest in agri-business sector. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) announced it is investing more than $233,000 to help British Columbia’s agri-food sector increase sales markets in the United States, Europe and Asia, as part of the agency's commitment to expanding and accessing new markets at home and abroad. The funding will help 11 small and medium-sized agri-food businesses.
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2017 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
  • Product Recalls: Tried & True Wood Finishes recalls Danish Oil, Varnish Oil and Original Wood Finish manufactured in the United States, for labeling concerns about flammability; Craftedbyalyssaj recalls various slime toys manufactured in Canada, for boric acid content; Really Good Stuff recalls Write Again magnetic dry erase white boards manufactured in China, for laceration hazard; Ducan Industries Ltd. recalls Ducan Rubber Sundeck Coating Top-Cote Color Coat manufactured in Canada, for excess lead content.
