  • CBSA issues Statement of Reasons on preliminary determinations on certain silicon metals. The Canada Border Services Agency released on July 20 a Statement of Reasons (here) regarding its July 5 issuance of a preliminary determination with respect to the dumping of certain silicon metal originating in or exported from Brazil, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, Norway and Thailand; to the subsidizing of certain silicon metal originating in or exported from Brazil, Malaysia, Norway and Thailand; and to the termination of the dumping investigation with respect to the same goods originating in or exported from Russia (here).
  • Product Recalls: Homestar North America recalls three-drawer TV chests manufactured in the United States (here), for tip-over and entrapment hazards; The Manhattan Toy Company, LLC, recalls Winkel Color Burst activity toy manufactured in China (here), for choking hazard; Dollarama L.P. recalls jump ropes manufactured in China (here), for unsafe phthalates levels.
