  • Interim process for electronic house bills. The Canada Border Services Agency has issued Customs Notice 17-22, which provides new information regarding requirements for electronic house bills during the interim voluntary period until systems enhancements for electronic house bill requirements and functionality are deployed. The "enhancements are necessary to fully support the eManifest program and to allow freight forwarders to comply with all reporting requirements," the notice says (here).
  • Product Recalls: Caramia Furniture recalls Veronic and Carrera 3 in 1 convertible cribs manufactured in Vietnam (here), for injury risk posed by improper assembly; PPG Architectural Coatings Canada Inc. recalls Polyprep Cleaner Powder and SICO Cleaner Powder manufactured in Canada (here), for injury risk posed by potential for lids to pop off.
