NMFS Delays Effective Dates of AMLR Amendments, Guitarfish Listing

The National Marine Fisheries Service is delaying the effective dates of two recently issued final rules to comply with a presidential memorandum issued shortly after President Donald Trump took office (see 1701230031). One delay (here) pushes back the effective date of a final rule listing two species of guitarfish as threatened under the Endangered Species Act (see 1701180043). Another (here) delays the effective date of changes to the Antarctic Marine Living Resources program (see 1701190022). Both final rules now take effect March 21.
