APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Nov. 30

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Nov. 30 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Fruits and Vegetables. The Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Import Requirements (FAVIR) database (here) have been updated to lift the suspension for peppers from Spain into the United States under Federal Order DA-2016-01. The new Federal Order DA-2016-73 is effective immediately. Changes in the manual, indicated by black change bars in the left margin, are on pages 3-296 and 3-299.
