APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Oct. 28
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Oct. 28 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Treatment Manual. The USDA APHIS PPQ Treatment Manual (here) has been updated to revise the approved ports of entry for T107-e. Changes are indicated by black change bars in the left margin of page 5-2-84.
Fruits and Vegetables. The Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Import Requirements (FAVIR) database (here) have been updated to add the port of Houston, Texas, to the list of ports where cold treated citrus from South Africa can enter the United States. Citrus consignments from South Africa into the United States are only allowed to enter through the ports of Houston, Texas; Newark, New Jersey; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; or Wilmington, Delaware.
