APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Oct. 13

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Oct. 13 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Fruits and Vegetables. The Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Import Requirements (FAVIR) database (here) have been updated. The reason for the update was to align with Federal Order DA-2016-64 (here), rescinding the prohibition of certain citrus fruits from Morocco. Changes in the manual, indicated by black change bars in the left page margin, are on pages 3-219 and 3-220.
