Jacobi Carbons AB and Jacobi Carbons Inc., challenging the final results of the Commerce Department's antidumping duty administrative review on activated carbon from China covering entries in 2014 and 2015. #16-00185. Filed Sept.20.

Natural Stone Resources, on the classification of sandstone clabs. CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 6802.99.0060 (6.5%). Natural Stone Resources says it should have instead been classified under subheading 2516.20.2000 (3%). #16-00186. Filed Sept. 20.

Inner Mongolia Jianlong Biochemical Co., Ltd., challenging the final results of the Commerce Department's antidumping duty new shipper review on xanthan gum from China. #16-00187. Filed Sept.21.

Hartford Fire Insurance, challenging CBP claims on bonds covering entries of garlic. Hartford says the claims should be canceled because they contained errors. #16-00188. Filed Sept. 22.

New Image Global and its surety, American Service Insurance Company, challenging CBP's calculation of the weight of its imported tobacco products, and whether CBP assessed the correct tax. #16-00189. Filed Sept. 23.

Marck & Associates, on the classification of ceramic mugs and cups. CBP classified the merchandise under subheadings 6912.00.44 (10%) or 6912.00.48 (9.8%). Marck says it should have instead been classified under subheading 6912.00.39 (4.5%). #16-00190. Filed Sept. 23.

Pacific Accelerated Limited, challenging the final results of the Commerce Department's antidumping duty administrative review on potassium permanganate from China covering entries in 2014. #16-00191. Filed Sept. 23.

​Appeals of CIT Decisions

The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) during the week of Sept. 19-25.

Capella Sales & Services, challenging Commerce's assessment of AD duties at the 374.15% "all others" assessment rate in effect at time of entry, even though the "all others" rate was subsequently lowered to 7.37% in litigation, because Capella did not participate in the court case that lowered the rate, or in any administrative review that could have resulted in a different assessment (see 1607210031). #16-2649. Sept. 19.

Aluminum Extrusions Fair Trade Committee, appealing a CIT decision from July sustaining a redetermination of an AD/CVD scope ruling on whether Meridian Products' appliance door handles are subject to duties on aluminum extrusions from China (see 1512080012). #16-2657. Filed Sept. 19.
