However, having the right goal is not good enough. It also has to be a good deal, and good deals require good negotiations. In the TPP, the Obama administration has not gotten a good enough deal for Pennsylvania workers.” Administration trade negotiators haven’t addressed concerns Toomey expressed to them, he said. Toomey pushed a renegotiation of the pact. A recent Quinnipiac University poll indicates that Toomey is trailing Democratic competitor Katie McGinty in the Senate race 47-44, while a recent NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist University poll shows him trailing 48-44. Both polls had a 3.4-percent margin of error.
