APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for June 27

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes June 27 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Fruits and Vegetables: The Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Import Requirements (FAVIR) database (here) have been updated to align with final rule APHIS-2014-0088-0042, Mexican Hass Avocado Import Program. The final rule was issued May 27 and is effective June 27, 2016. Changes in the manual are on page 3-209.
