APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for May 11

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes May 11 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:

Appendix A Guide to Entry Status of Animal Products in Passenger Baggage

  • Page A-1-17 under HPAI heading - Lebanon has been added to the list of countries

Appendix C List of Foreign Countries and Their Disease Status

  • Page C-1-2 under HPAI heading - Lebanon has been added to the list of countries
  • Table C-1-1 Foreign Countries and Their Disease Status - HPAI has been added to the Lebanon row; Disease Status Affected With: column

Appendix H List of Veterinarians

  • Table H-1-2 PPQ-AQI-VMO - VMO territory information has been changed for North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia
