APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for May 2

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes May 2 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Plants for Planting: The Plants for Planting Manual (here) has been updated, 05/2016-43. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin of each revised page, are as follows:

  • Page 4-227: Added postentry requirements for Hibiscus spp., all propagules except seeds, from France when meeting conditions for entry
  • Page 4-228, 4-229, 4-230: Revised Hibiscus, all propagules except seeds, postentry from France when meeting conditions for entry
