EchoStar said they discussed the framework of the companies' joint sharing proposal (see 1604070059): protection of existing fixed satellite service (FSS) licensees and providing them co-primary status with new upper microwave flexible use (UMFU) licensees, establishment of protection zones in urban cores to protect UMFU systems from new FSS installations and creation of coordination guidelines for FSS/UMFU sharing outside those zones. The companies also said coordination, safe harbor and aggregate interference guidelines still are being worked out.
