With 3.0, a typical smartphone can charge from zero to 80 percent in roughly 35 minutes, 27 percent faster than the previous version of Quick Charge, the company said. The technology is forward and backward compatible and can be implemented in USB Type-A, USB micro, USB Type-C and proprietary connectors.
