Markwins International Corp. on the classification of cosmetic sets. CBP classified the merchandise under various subheadings under HTS heading 4202, dutiable at 17.8 to 20 percent. Markwins says it should have been classified under subheading 3304.90.5000 (free) and 8214.20.9000 (4.1%). #16-00001, -002. Filed Jan. 4.

Oiollo challenging the final results of the Commerce Department's antidumping duty changed circumstances review on wooden bedroom furniture from China that adopted a new scope exemption for bed bases (see 1512030020). #16-00003. Filed Jan. 4.

DSM Nutritional Products challenging CBP's denial of its protests on the classification of carotenoids. CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 2106.90.97 (8.5% + 0.288¢/kg or 2106.90.99 (6.4%). DSM says it should have instead been classified under subheadings 3204.19.35 (3.1%), K3204.19.35 (free), and 2936.10.00 (free). #16-00004. Filed Jan. 5.

CBP classified the merchandise under HTS subheading 2106.90.9998 (6.4%). Nutricia says it should have been classified under subheading 3004.50.50 (free) or 9817.00.96 (free). #16-00008. The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit during the week of Jan. 4-10:

Mid Continent Nail, Dubai Wire FZE and Itochu Building Products appealing a Nov. 3 CIT decision sustaining the Commerce Department's final determiniation in the antidumping duty investigation on steel nails from the United Arab Emirates. #16,1426, 16-1434. Filed Jan. 6-7.
