The integration is beginning to occur as device vendors open up their application programming interfaces and increasingly share data between wearables and devices such as thermostats or connected appliances, the researcher said. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi "are likely to gain significant traction with wearables penetration in the smart home market," said ABI.
