TPP Negotiators, Ministers Set for Atlanta Meetings in Coming Days, Says AAFA

U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman declined to confirm the Atlanta meetings earlier on the same day (see 1509220015). The meetings would come on the heels of a TPP meeting in San Francisco that wrapped up on Sept. 22. “If a deal is reached in Atlanta, Congress may be able to consider implementing legislation during 2016,” said AAFA. That prospect decreased following the failure to lock down the talks in Maui during late July (see 1508030024). USTR said it wasn't able to confirm the Atlanta meetings.
