In January, the National Regional Planning Council asked for FCC clarity, saying a trunking requirement could “hamper effective conventional use of these channels.” The bureau agreed. The trunking requirement “applies only to General Use and State License channels,” the bureau said. “The recently reallocated air-ground channels are neither.”
