State Designates Nine Individuals, Groups as Global Terrorists
The State Department designated a number of individuals and groups as Specially Designated Global Terrorists. The designations include prohibitions against knowingly providing, attempting or conspiring to provide material support or resources or engaging in transactions with those designated. The designations also freeze all property and interests of the individuals and entities in the U.S. or in the control of U.S. citizens. State slapped the terrorist label on the following individuals.
