The interactive app, developed with Turner Sports, gives users access to scoring, player and course information along with exclusive behind-the-scenes and tournament-related content from the PGA Championship, Samsung said. The app is also available on select Samsung Galaxy mobile devices, it said. Features include a broadcast mode that lets users toggle among alternate live video feeds, launch an interactive leaderboard, and follow their favorite golfers, Samsung said. Users can cast a vote for the Pick the Hole Location Challenge, hosted by Jack Nicklaus, which lets users vote using their TV remote for the cup location to be used on the 16th hole during the final round of the PGA Championship on Aug. 10, Samsung said. Viewers vote in real time Aug. 7-9 using interactive content triggered during the live broadcast, Samsung said. A multiscreen function lets consumers pair their TV and mobile devices through the companion app to view the golf action and exclusive content on mobile devices.
