State Amends ITAR to Comply with UN Resolution on Central African Republic Peacekeeping

The State Department amended the International Traffic in Arms Regulations to implement a change required by a recent UN Security Council resolution regarding peacekeeping forces in the Central African Republic. The resolution directs the UN Integrated Peacebuilding Office in the Central African Republic to be integrated into the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic. The final rule is effective Aug. 4.
