State Designates Norwegian Man a Specially Designated Global Terrorist

The State Department, in consultation with the Departments of Justice and Treasury, designated Anders Cameroon Ostensvig Dale a Specially Designated Global Terrorist. The designation includes a prohibition against U.S. persons engaging in transactions with al-Badani. State also froze the property and interests of al-Badani in the U.S., along with property and interests that come into the U.S. or in control of U.S. persons. Anders Dale, a Norwegian citizen, traveled to Yemen to join al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula, State said (here).
