  • Sanctions against Russia amending special economic measures. The Harper Government has announced that it has amended the sanctions restricting business from individuals and businesses doing business with certain entities from Russia due to the ongoing conflict with Ukraine. (here)
  • New proposed standards for Canadian maple syrup. The Harper Government has announced that it is proposing amendments to the Maple Products Regulations which will have propose changes to the grading system as well as setting new standards for maple syrup products. (here)
  • China oil country tubular goods. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced it will begin an expiry review decision for certain oil country tubular goods originating in or exported from China. (here)
  • Tariff classification of wood flooring products. The CBSA has released Memorandum D10-14-55 which outlines and explains the rules and regulations regarding the tariff classification of certain flooring products under Chapters 45 and 55 of the Customs Tariff. (here)
