OFAC Adds 12 Additional Russian Officials to SDN List On Human Rights Grounds
The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added the following individuals to the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list on May 20:

The following individuals have been added to OFAC's SDN List:

- Gaus, Alexandra Viktorovna
- Khlebnikov, Vyacheslav Georgievich
- Klyuev, Dmitry Vladislavovich
- Kratov, Dmitry Borisovich
- Krechetov, Andrei Alexandrovich
- Litvinova, Larisa Anatolievna
- Markelov, Viktor Aleksandrovich
- Stepanov, Vladlen Yurievich
- Sugaipov, Umar
- Tagiyev, Fikret
- Vakhayev, Musa
The sanctions target individuals implicated in the 2009 alleged murder of Russian citizen Sergei Magnitsky while in police custody, in accordance with the Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act, passed into law in 2012, and have no relation to the ongoing turmoil in Ukraine, said the House Committee on Foreign Affairs (here).
