AES Restores Fatal Error Responses Temporarily Classified as Warning Error Messages

The Automated Export System (AES) will on April 27 restore the following AES validations to AES Fatal Errors, after temporarily reclassifying them as AES Warning Error Messages:

  • Response Code 666: Fatal Error - ECCN Must Be From Approved List
  • Response Code 122: Fatal Error - Carrier Code Is Outdated
  • Response Code 082: Fatal Error - USPPI Not Option 4 Eligible

The messages were reclassified due to technical issues associated with the AES Rehost transition, the Census Bureau said in a release. The issues have now been resolved. The Internal Transaction Number will no longer be issued if AES generates the above responses, Census said.
