State Dept. Shipping Committee to Hold Meeting on Compliance Cooperation

The State Department’s Shipping Coordinating Committee (SHC) will hold a public meeting in Washington, D.C. on May 28 to prepare for a International Maritime Organization's (IMO) Technical Cooperation Committee session, slated to be held at the IMO headquarters in the United Kingdom from June 11-13. The meeting will focus on financing of the IMO Technical Cooperation Programme, among other subjects. The program aims to help developing countries comply with international maritime rules and regulations (here).
