State Dept. Shipping Committee to Hold Meeting on Piracy, Maritime Legislation

The State Department’s Shipping Coordinating Committee (SHC) will hold a public meeting in Washington, D.C. on April 18 to prepare for an International Maritime Organization (IMO) Marine Legal Committee session, slated to be held at the IMO headquarters in the United Kingdom from April 28 - May 2. The SHC meeting will focus on piracy and technical cooperation activities related to maritime legislation, among other subjects.
