BIS Adds Evans Meridians to Recent Export Denial Order

The Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) issued a denial of export privileges for Evans Meridians Ltd., a British Virgin Islands based firm, over alleged violations of the Export Administration Regulations. The addition modifies a Jan. 3 export denial order for the following firms and individuals:

The orders relate to collaborative plans to export General Electric CF6 aircraft engines to Iran without the required U.S. government authorization. The BIS Office of Export Enforcement obtained information on Evans Meridians involvement following the initial Jan. 3 denial order.
