Commerce to Lead Trade Promotion Mission to Caribbean June 8-12

The Commerce Department announced it will lead a trade mission June 8-12 to the Caribbean in conjunction with the Trade Americas conference in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Participants will attend Trade Americas on June 9, and will then participate in one-on-one consultations with U.S. Foreign Commercial Service officers and business-to-business meetings in the Dominican Republic. A limited number of participants will then travel for business-to-business appointments in one of either the Bahamas, Barbados, Haiti, Jamaica, or Trinidad and Tobago. Although the mission is open to U.S. companies from a cross section of industries, it is focused on “best prospects” sectors like construction equipment and road building machinery, medical equipment and devices/pharmaceuticals, information and communication technology, energy equipment and services, and safety and security equipment. Applications are due by April 4.
