  • Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., to be U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People's Republic of China.
  • Darci Vetter to be Chief Agricultural Negotiator at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). Islam A. Siddiqui announced his intent to depart USTR early this year (see 13121312).
  • Janet Garvin McCabe to be an assistant administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
