Nearly 85 percent of respondents said they would continue supporting the team even if it were renamed, it said. The FCC should convene an open meeting “to discuss voluntary cooperation by media outlets with popular opinion in avoiding hateful speech in broadcasting,” said Reed Hundt, a campaign member and former FCC chairman. The survey, conducted through Survey Monkey, was distributed to a random pool of 100 Washingtonians, the campaign said.
