  • Canada to end preferential tariff on goods from 72 countries. The Canadian Government said it intends to withdraw its eligibility to the General Preferential Tariff from 72 countries which it states are higher income and export competitive which includes the G-20 countries. (here)
  • Canada-India bilateral relations. The Minister of Foreign Affairs will welcome India’s Minister of External Affairs to discuss Canada-India bilateral relations. (here)
  • Prime Minister Stephen Harper to visit New York. The Prime Minister Stephen Harper will visit New York Sept. 24-26 to co-host a United Nations event which will highlight the health challenges women and children face and will participate in a moderated discussion hosted by Canadian American Business Council on fostering closer commercial ties between Canada and the U.S. (here)
  • Minister Steven Blaney tours CBSA facilities. The Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness toured two facilities in the Toronto area to highlight the important role that the CBSA plays in protecting Canada’s borders. (here)
