The satellite will be placed into orbit at 25 degrees east and deliver new capabilities to Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, it said. The satellite will provide 50 percent more accessible spectrum “with double spectral efficiency and nearly 20 percent more channels than an Inmarsat-4 satellite,” Inmarsat said.
