  • Government Procurement Committee invites new Observer. The Committee on Government Procurement agreed May 29, 2013 to grant observer status to Russia. It is one of the first steps to Russia's full accession to the WTO and becoming a party to the Agreement on Government Procurement, which currently covers 42 members. Russia has indicated it has enacted a new government procurement law, set to take force on January 1, 2014. (here)
