Airlines for America commended the amendment in light of recent industry concern over CBP's planned preclearance facility in Abu Dhabi (see 13051327). “The unanimous support for the Meehan amendment further demonstrates the growing concerns lawmakers have over the misguided Abu Dhabi agreement that makes it easier to enter the United States from Abu Dhabi than it is from JFK,” said the group's president, Nicholas Calio, in a statement (here).
