a public-private collaboration meant to speed up adoption of integrated cybersecurity tools by developing interoperable approaches to address the needs of real-world IT systems, NIST said. The project is open to all organizations, rather than just those that must comply with the standards of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act or the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, NIST said. Organizations that want to participate in the project should contact NIST for a certification letter within 45 days of the announcement’s publication in the Federal Register, which was set for Tuesday (http://xrl.us/boas4s).
