India is Country of Origin for Rybix, CBP Says

CBP issued a final determination of the country of origin of Rybix (tramadol hydrochloride) tablets, it said in a Federal Register notice scheduled for Jan. 11, deciding that India is the country of origin for purposes of U.S. government procurement.

CBP concluded that tramadol hydrochloride from India, blended with excipients and packaged into dosage form in France, was not substantially transformed in France, so India is the country of origin of the finished Rybix, a pharmaceutical product used for the management of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults.
