The tool’s release coincides with the holiday gift-giving season, which FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said is the perfect time to remind consumers of ways to protect their mobile devices. “With less than half of smartphone owners using passwords to protect their devices, this new tool will be of particular value to millions of Americans,” he said in a statement (http://xrl.us/bn63eo).
