  • Canada-U.S. cooperation for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive Preparedness (CBRNE). The Minister of Public Safety Vic Toewsspoke at an equipment demonstration at the CBRNE workshop to highlight the commitment under the Canada-U.S. Plans and Capabilities for the Emergency Management in the Beyond the Border Action Plan for Perimeter Security and Economic Competitiveness. The CBRNE has developed a work plan and validation metrics that focuses on bi-national plans for preventing, mitigating, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from potential CBRNE events. The CBSA made a final determination of dumping pursuant to the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) in respect to certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Taiwan, India, Oman, Korea, Thailand and the UAE along with making a final determination of subsidizing for the above mentioned goods originating in or exported from India.
