NARUC encouraged the commission to pick a provider that has not resolved questionable call termination practices, and “take appropriate and swift action.” Only “actual enforcement actions with significant consequences” will modify the behavior of noncompliant carriers, NARUC said. NARUC’s general counsel also spoke to aides to commissioners Robert McDowell, Mignon Clyburn and Ajit Pai regarding the issue.
