World Trade Organization Notices for July 21-22

  • Russia WTO accession. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed into law legislation for the ratification of the country’s accession to the WTO. It officially brings Russia's trade regulations into compliance with international standards. Russia is set to become the WTO's 156th member on August 22, 2012. In 2011, Russia was the world’s ninth largest exporter. (here)
  • China's appeal of steel report. China filed a notice of appeal with the U.S. concerning “countervailing and anti-dumping duties on grain oriented flat-rolled electrical steel from the U.S.”.
