Canadian Government Notices for July 23

The government of Canada issued the following trade-related notices for July 23 (note that some may also be given separate headlines)

  • Canada-India Trade. The Minister of International Trade and Minister Asia Pacific Gateway will participate in an event to highlight the government’s broad and ambitious pro-trade plan and provide updates on negotiations toward a Canada-India trade agreement. (here)
  • World Trade Organization (WTO) admission. The Trade Minister Ed Fast issued a statement congratulating Russia for its accession to the World Trade Organization. (here)
  • Korea liquid dielectric transformers. The CBSA will investigate whether imports originating in or exported from Korea are being dumped and make a preliminary decision by July 23, 2012. (here)
  • Carbon steel welded pipe. The CITT determined there is evidence that discloses a reasonable indication that the dumping of certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Taiwan, India, Oman, Korea, Thailand, Turkey and UAE and the subsidizing from India, Oman, and the UAE have caused injury or are threatening to cause injury.
