CBP Announces Feb 24 Snow Day for Area Port of Portland, ME

U.S. Customs and Border Protection for the Area Port of Boston has issued a Public Information Notice announcing that the service offices of the Area Port of Portland, Maine will be closed on Friday, February 24, 2012.

Offices will be relocated & reopen on Feb 27. The offices will be closed as they will be relocated to 155 Gannett Drive, South Portland, Maine 04106 from their current location at 312 Fore Street, Portland, Maine. The Area Port Offices will reopen for business at the new South Portland location on Monday, February 27, 2012. Current telephone numbers will remain the same. The main office number is (207) 771-3600.

Filers will be granted an add'l business day. Filers who conduct business with the Area Port of Portland or who remotely file entries (RLF), will be granted an additional business day, without late-file penalties, to file entries and deposit duties that will become due on February 24, 2012. The new due date for entries and duties will be February 27, 2012.
