training course comprising five Masterclasses will guide participants through comprehensive changes to the new rules that came into effect January 1, 2011. ICC states that significant among these changes is the decrease from 13 rules to 11; the distinction between rules for maritime modes of transport and rules for all modes of transport; the inclusion of electronic documents as a functional equivalent to paper documents; and the change in guidance regarding the place of delivery in the FOB, CFR and CIF rules from crossing the ship’s rail to being placed on board. According to the ICC, there is no organization better placed than ICC -- the organization that created and maintains the Incoterms rules -- to help international traders learn how to apply the rules correctly.
