  • Jobs bill. A bill to create American jobs and reduce the deficit, and for other purposes (H.R. 3638)
  • Registered agent. A bill to require foreign manufacturers of products imported into the United States to establish registered agents in the United States who are authorized to accept service of process against such manufacturers, and for other purposes (H.R. 3646)
  • Buy American waivers. A bill to improve transparency and accountability in the waiver process of the Buy America requirement for certain transportation provisions (H.R. 3647)
  • Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund. A bill to amend the Water Resources Development Act of 1986 to ensure that annual expenditures from the Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund to pay for operation and maintenance costs are allocated equitably among eligible harbor projects, and for other purposes (H.R. 3648)

  • Medical devices. A bill to enhance Food and Drug Administration oversight of medical device recalls, to provide for the conditional clearance of certain medical devices, and for other purposes (S. 1995)
  • Counterfeit drugs. A bill to prevent trafficking in counterfeit drugs (H.R. 3668)

On December 15, 2011 the following trade-related bills were introduced:

  • Tolls. S. 2006. A bill to amend the Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation Assistance Act of 1987 to authorize the Secretary of Transportation to permit Federal regulation and review of tolls and toll increases on certain surface transportation facilities, and for other purposes (S. 2006)
  • AGOA. A bill to amend the African Growth and Opportunity Act to extend the third-country fabric rule, to add South Sudan to the list of countries eligible for designation under that Act (S. 2007)
  • Cybersecurity. A bill to amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to make certain improvements in the laws relating to cybersecurity, and for other purposes (H.R. 3674)
  • Tolls. A bill to amend the Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation Assistance Act of 1987 to authorize the Secretary of Transportation to permit Federal regulation and review of tolls and toll increases on certain surface transportation facilities, and for other purposes (H.R. 3684)

On December 16, 2011 the following trade-related bills were introduced:

  • Children’s sleepwear. A bill to require that labels on children's sleepwear that indicate the sleepwear is flame resistant to include the chemical name of the flame retardant used, and for other purposes (S. 2012)
  • Foreign Terrorist Organizations. A bill to direct the Secretary of State to designate Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps as a foreign terrorist organization, and for other purposes (H.R. 3698)

On December 17, 2011 the following trade-related bills were introduced:

  • Require use of U.S. goods. A bill to amend titles 23 and 49, United States Code, to ensure that transportation and infrastructure projects carried out using Federal financial assistance are constructed with steel, iron, and manufactured goods that are produced in the United States, and for other purposes (S. 2028)
  • Deter IPR infringing imports. A bill to amend the Tariff Act of 1930 to deter unfair imports that infringe United States intellectual property rights, and for other purposes (S. 2029)
