OFAC Announces Feb 2012 Trade Symposium on U.S. Sanctions, Etc.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control will be holding an International Trade Symposium on February 14, 2012 to help the international trade community to better understand, and successfully comply with, U.S. economic sanctions.

Presentations to Cover Licensing Procedures, Enforcement Guidelines, Etc.

The International Trade Symposium will feature presentations by, and discussions with, key OFAC personnel on topics such as:

  • Licensing procedures and guidance
  • Compliance with U.S. economic and trade sanctions
  • Enforcement guidelines and enforcement actions
  • Recent sanctions changes and challenges

OFAC Staff Available to Answer Questions

In addition to formal presentations, OFAC staff will be available throughout the day for individual questions and ad hoc roundtable discussions on issues unique to the trade community.

The event is free but advance registration is required. Those wishing to attend should click here and follow the instructions on the registration site. Note: Since OFAC expects a large turnout, it asks that attendance initially be restricted to two persons per company/organization. If OFAC has seats remaining in the weeks immediately prior to the event, it will reopen the registration.
