  • Agricultural commodity transportation. A bill to amend the Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act of 1999 to provide clarification regarding the applicability of exemptions relating to the transportation of agricultural commodities and farm supplies, and for other purposes (S. 1915)

  • Reg moratorium. A bill to impose a regulatory moratorium and prevent taxes from being raised for 2 years (H.R. 3518)

On November 30, 2011 the following bills were introduced:

  • Reinstatement of certain NAFTA Customs fees exemption. A bill to provide for the reinstatement of certain NAFTA Customs fees exemption, and for other purposes (H.R. 3529)
  • FCPA private right of action. A bill to authorize certain private rights of action under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 for violations by foreign concerns that damage domestic businesses (H.R. 3531)
  • Dredging of small ports. A bill to modify the criteria used by the Corps of Engineers to dredge small ports (S. 1927)
  • Earmarks. A bill to prohibit earmarks (S. 1930)
  • Rail dispute. A joint resolution applying certain conditions to the dispute referred to in Executive Order 13586 of October 6, 2011, between the enumerated freight rail carriers, common carriers by rail in interstate commerce, and certain of their employees represented by labor organizations that have not agreed to extend the cooling-off period under section 10 of the Railway Labor Act beyond 12:01 a.m. on December 6, 2011 (S.J. Res. 31)

On December 1, 2011 the following bills were introduced:

  • Regulatory flexibility. A bill to amend chapter 6 of title 5, United States Code (commonly known as the Regulatory Flexibility Act), to ensure complete analysis of potential impacts on small entities of rules, and for other purposes (S. 1938)
  • U.S. origin requirements for certain steel, iron, etc. A bill to ensure that transportation and infrastructure projects carried out using Federal financial assistance are constructed with steel, iron, and manufactured goods that are produced in the United States, and for other purposes (H.R. 3533)

On December 2, 2011 the following bills were introduced:

  • Ethanol duty. A bill to extend the additional duty on ethanol (H.R. 3552)
  • Labeling of genetically engineered material. A bill to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, the Federal Meat Inspection Act, and the Poultry Products Inspection Act to require that food that contains a genetically engineered material, or that is produced with a genetically engineered material, be labeled accordingly (H.R. 3553)
  • Tracking system for pharmaceutical and industrial GME crops. A bill to prohibit the open-air cultivation of genetically engineered pharmaceutical and industrial crops, to prohibit the use of common human food or animal feed as the host plant for a genetically engineered pharmaceutical or industrial chemical, to establish a tracking system to regulate the growing, handling, transportation, and disposal of pharmaceutical and industrial crops and their byproducts to prevent human, animal, and general environmental exposure to genetically engineered pharmaceutical and industrial crops and their byproducts, to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act with respect to the safety of genetically engineered foods, and for other purposes (H.R. 3554)
